Rumours Decorative Arts were first established back in 1985, when we travelled and stood at many quality Antique Fairs across the country exhibiting a varied selection of English Art Pottery ceramics. In 1986 we discovered Moorcroft Pottery by purchasing by chance, a 1940’s piece of the Anemone pattern on a Blue ground, at a local Antiques Fair and just loved it, at that time not very people knew of Moorcroft Pottery and it was still relatively undiscovered. We were very fortunate to meet Richard Dennis and our education and love for this incredible English Art Pottery called Moorcroft had begun and we became besotted with this unique company.

Soon most of our stock had been converted to Moorcroft Pottery and our own collection had started to grow. With pieces from all periods , from the very Early William Moorcroft Florian pieces made at the MacIntyre Factory through to Walter Moorcroft designs in the 1950’s and 1960’s, our stock grew and we soon became official retailers of new Moorcroft Pottery, we opened our first shop in the Georgian Village, Camden Passage in 1989, our shop is still situated in Camden Passage at 26 The Mall, 359 Upper Street, Islington, London, N1 0PD, here you will find a large and varied selection of Moorcroft Pottery spanning over 100 years of production from all periods. We are probably one of the few places that you will find such a diverse selection of Moorcroft Pottery.

Over the years we have developed a good, strong and reliable reputation with dealers and collectors alike worldwide. All of our pieces are described accurately. Please purchase with confidence as we are a dealer with a fine pedigree just like Moorcroft Pottery itself.

In more recent times we have started to stock some other quality contemporary items by Andrew Hull Burslem Pottery and studio work by Roger Cockram, some of which you will find in the following pages.

You are always very welcome to personally visit our shop we are open two days a week, Wednesdays and Saturdays 9am-4pm other days by appointment.
